Just in case someone new feels like joining the challenge:

The rules...

1. On Friday afternoon/evening (GMT), one acapella and one instrumental (or multi-track) are posted for download.
2. Participants have the weekend (from Friday afternoon/evening till Monday morning GMT) to make one or more bootleg/mash-up(s) or remix(es) or cover(s) using any elements of one or both of the provided tracks. Multiple entries are encouraged.
3.Participants should post their track(s), regardless of the state they're in, by Monday morning GMT.
4. The reigning monarch sets up an in-thread poll in his/her first post , which decides the winner, generally by Wed.
5. The winner is then proclaimed King/Queen Mong of GYBO for a week and dons an avatar crown of his or her choice (or the previous monarch's suggestion).
5b. Lee Spoons is a sex ninja.
6. King or Queen Mong starts a new thread (e.g. "GYBO Weekend Challenge XI"), posts the next tracks (see 1.), sets up the poll (see 4.), abdicates and crowns the next King or Queen (see 5.)
7.The cycle repeats ad infinitum or until no one can be bothered anymore.
8. Usual GYBO rules apply.

1, That is the most ridiculous download site I've ever seen. And I've seen Hotfile.com.

2, Holy shit, there's a Steve Miller Band acapella?! I can die peacefully now..

3, You know there's two 'mentals, right?

Thanks, Lady Eve....was just getting ready to amend the post.

@DJBB: Yes, I know. The 'knot is just for pomD to have. That's why it isn't in the weekend folder. Suppose I just should have PM'd him, but the king posted after too many flaggons of ale...

So...Miller/Freeland, them's the ones.

EDIT: and can I just say, mine is going to pwn you all.

Only when I'm at uni because there's no point at home because it'd take me all night to download one song. And I'm not at uni often and when I am, I'm usually, you know, doing uni stuff.

If you need me, I'll be at acapellas4u.

Relax_cage, that's a blinder of a first entry to set the bar - brilliant combo - love it! Welcome to the WC and, in case they've not been done yet, allow me to do the honors: Welcome to GYBO i.e. The Kingdom of Mong!

@King Filth the Royal Dude: So only Pom the Bonkers Scotchman gets a try at tying the Knot?! As default Challenge Historian, I duly note that the reigning Monarch of Mong has always taken certain sovereign liberties with the Power of the Crown before His/Her neck rested upon the chopping block. These royal liberties were by nature decrees. Hence humbly advise Thee: If Thou mayest posteth a multi-track, Thou mayest most certainly cast down a dual-'mental gauntlet. So sayeth the common law.

Rock, Roll, and Mong!

damn that instrumental's OOT, the bassline induces weird timing going on and off time, anyway:

instrumental: Freeland - Do You
acapella: Eagles of Death Metal - I Only Want You
acapella: Gorillaz - Rehash

Screw the instrumental - Steve goes from 117 to 122 like it's going out of fashion

Either Keep On Rockin' Me changes tempo, or my tempo changer in Audacity changes the tempo from constant to variable.

Pfft, rap's cheating.. that goes with basically anything. I'm going for Bon Jovi 8-) Here's hoping I can actually do something good with them.

King A+F rules with Ye Iron Fist yet graciuosly rewards his loyal subjects with the Royal Mental of Knot.
All praise The Peoples King!!

Phew, this olde speak's harder than 1337.

Was gonna keep that Slipknot for something special but if it's fair game and I've time I'll give it a try. Probably end up doing 3 anyways, heh!

Cheers not-I, thanks for the warm welcome into the WC. ;) I must admit though, I'm not exactly new. I have been lurking and sporadically posting since the V3 days.
